Saturday, May 27th:

Many of you have expressed an interest in having a small gathering on Saturday, May 27th. The Association has reserved a picnic shelter from 1 PM- 5 PM at the Paintsville Lake State Park for those who want to attend. This time could be extended should some of you be arriving in town later that day. Please let us know by email to [email protected] if you plan to join in so we can determine how much food and drink will be needed. Potluck dishes for sharing would also be welcome – and we ask that you bring your own beverages and chairs, if needed.

Sunday, May 28th:

DOORS OPEN: 9:00 A.M. — Members, with help of the janitor, will set up tables for the reunion.

REGISTRATION: Please register when entering, completing the registration form with any updates to your address/email address. With your registration, you will receive a ticket for the door prizes. Registering helps us to update our mailing lists and determine the actual number of family members who attended. MASKS & HAND SANITIZER WILL BE AVAILABLE.

RECEPTION:
Socialize with cousins and reminisce about old times. Get to know your Wells cousins!! Activities and games for the children will be available in both the meeting area and the gymnasium. We will also have the dollar drop for the youngsters to scramble for and which they can use in the Chinese auction if they wish to.

WELCOME:
President Charlene Muncy

AUCTION:
Bring items to be auctioned to benefit the organization such as family history items, handmade items, such as crafts, etc. Set a minimum price for the auctioneer to begin with. We don’t want to sell items for less than what was invested in it, especially for handmade items. Don’t forget about items for the silent auction which will be set up in the lobby!!

SNACK TABLE/DINNER:
Dinner will be served following the auction. Snacks will be provided for those who may have health problems or have had to travel some distance to the reunion and need to have a little sustenance until dinner is served.

MEMORIAL SERVICES:
Remembering family members we have lost since the last reunion.

BLESSING:
Dinner prayer.

DINNER:
Please bring your favorite dishes, plus a little extra to share with those who are unable to do so. The Association will provide drinks, paper products, eating utensils and ice.

HISTORY PRESENTATION/QUIZ: John B. Wells III will present a new Wells historical report and will quiz the audience on Appalachian culture and sayings.

ELECTION:
New officers will be elected.

WELLS SCHOLARSHIP:
Dr. Randall Wells will award the $500.00 scholarship check to the 2023 recipient.

AWARDS & DOOR PRIZES:
Youngest, oldest, traveled the farthest, largest family, etc.

DOORS CLOSE
: 5:00 P.M. We encourage everyone to stay around to visit with your extended family and friends following the activities as it may be your last opportunity to attend a reunion.
